Carl Albert State College’s State Assessment Services program is proud to offer assessments in the following areas:

CASC State Assessment Services utilizes the results of the above assessments in order to match clients with appropriate Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) programs.

What's TANF?

The TANF program provides parents with 100 percent federally-funded, time-limited cash assistance, job training, education, and employment services to help families reach and sustain economic self-sufficiency. Families may also receive services such as financial planning, parenting skills and after-school mentoring programs for children.

How Does it Work?

DHS partners with Oklahoma Works and a network of other state agencies, including CASC State Assessment Services, to address our clients’ and the larger community’s workforce development needs through education, employment, and training programs that connect people with employment opportunities. Currently, DHS and Oklahoma Works are implementing a one-stop plan to bring business, industry, service providers and job seekers together to promote full employment and wealth creation throughout the state.

In 2018, there were nearly 2,000 TANF work participants in Oklahoma.
